WHAT'S GOING ON? Some Miscellaneous Glimpses

Our Web Site News segment was down for a long time due to some seemingly unavoidable problems, but we have it back up now!

June Smith has had surgery on arthritic fingers. We hope that helps and that she can be back with us soon.

Jim Pipkins has been coming to church with Pat Miller. David Simmons, Pat's son, has been back with us also.

It has been good to have Elaine Greenfield and friend Essie back with us recently.

Marsha Brown brought grandchildren Amber, Logan and Logan's friend Felicity to church this past Sunday.

Elmer and Sally Lyons and Holly Bolinger have been back with us regularly and are a blessings. They still make baby furniture and display ands sell it at Craft gatherings and Fairs.

Wednesdays at 7 PM we feature informal snacks, fellowship, and Bible Study & Prayers. We currently are doing a devotional study of Paul's Epistle to the Philippians.

Saturday, October 27th, starting at 1 PM till ... we are hosting an old fashioned singing. several area quartets, soloists, and congregational singing will be followed by food and fellowship.

Sunday, October 28th Randy Ellis and "Joyful Noise" will bring special music during 10:45 AM Morning Worship. That will be a blessing for all.

October 28 is also Fellowship Dinner Sunday at 12 Noon. Those are quite nice! Good food and fellowship.

Thanks to Joyce Clotfelter for Treasury duties.

Thanks to Marsha Brown, Joe Smith, and John Laws for property oversight.

Attendance has been picking up, and we are thankful for that.

Betty Dodson, Louis Hobbs, Tammy Harmon, James Shaw, Joyce Clotfelter, Lisa Goins, Helen Cloud, Deweese Stedman, and Joe Jackson are among those with some health concerns.

LaVerne Scrivner has taken on task of Monthly Newsletter preparation and delivery. She does fine work. Thanks LaVerne!

LaVerne & Marsha Brown have cleaned up our elevator entryway & are arranging painting of that area.

Speaking of elevators! We have a really nice one now. Joe Smith did much good work overseeing that project. Even wheelchair bound folks can now enter our sanctuary without climbing stairs. Just enter at the front 10th street corner of the church to find the elevator.

Linda Joyce & her mother, Ruth Graham will soon be back with us, following trip to France.
